Supporting manufacturer partner
Mitsubishi Electric
Mitsubishi Electric is one of ACDA's three supporting manufacturer partners. Its home range is engineered for Japan's full spread of climates and proven in Australian conditions, and it is known for quiet running and inverter efficiency.

About Mitsubishi Electric
Who they are
Mitsubishi Electric's engineers design for the wide range of conditions found across Japan, from humid summers to cold winters, and the same units are sold into the Australian market. The result is equipment built for constant use rather than occasional relief.
The range covers wall-mounted splits, floor-mounted units, multi-splits and ducted systems, all on inverter technology that adjusts output to the room rather than switching on and off at full power.
Current models are on Mitsubishi Electric's own site. Your accredited dealer will tell you which ones suit your home.
The home range
What Mitsubishi Electric makes for homes
Wall-mounted split systems
One indoor unit for one room, across a range from affordable to premium. Some models are among the quietest on the market, rated by the maker at 19 dB(A) on their lowest setting.
Floor-mounted units
A low console unit for rooms where a high wall unit is not practical, with the same Wi-Fi control as the wall-mounted range.
Multi-split systems
Up to eight indoor units on one outdoor unit, with long pipe runs and height differences that give the installer room to place the outdoor unit sensibly.
Ducted systems
Whole-house systems through ceiling outlets, zoned so unused rooms are not conditioned.
Worth asking your dealer about
- Wi-Fi control of each unit from a phone, tablet or online account
- Inverter technology that reaches temperature quickly and then holds it efficiently
- Very quiet operation, quieter again at night
- Wide and long airflow patterns for larger living spaces
- A quick-clean design that lets the front panel and vents come off for cleaning
- Filtration that removes odours as well as dust
What the partnership means for you
Trained dealers, one warranty, one Guarantee
Dealers trained and supported by Mitsubishi Electric
ACDA accredited members are licensed contractors who are trained and supported by Mitsubishi Electric, so the person who quotes your system also knows how to install and service it.
The equipment warranty is Mitsubishi Electric's
Faults in the equipment go to Mitsubishi Electric under its warranty. The term and conditions are in the warranty documents that come with the system, and your dealer can help you lodge a claim.
The installation is covered by the ACDA Guarantee
If a member's new domestic installation falls short of the ACDA Standards, ACDA engages an independent Chartered Engineer to investigate and arrange correction. Read the Guarantee.
Before you decide
Questions for your dealer
These are the questions that settle which Mitsubishi Electric system, if any, is the right one for your home.
- What capacity does my home need, and how was it calculated?
- Is a split, a multi-split or a ducted system the better fit, and why?
- Which controls and zoning come with the system I am being quoted?
- What is the equipment warranty term, and what does it require of me?
- How often should the system be serviced, and by whom?
- Which Mitsubishi Electric models are current, and what does each add?
